Activation

From box to first brief

This page shows the activation experience end to end. It is a walkthrough: nothing here contacts a device or creates an account.

Simulated activation — no device is contacted

  1. Step 1

    Create or sign in to your account

    Activation binds a device to a person. You will sign in first so the device can never be claimed by someone else.

  2. Step 2

    Enter the activation code

    The code ships with the device. It is verified server-side and can only be redeemed once.

  3. Step 3

    Pair over Bluetooth in the mobile app

    Pairing and audio transfer happen in the native app. The web app shows device, transfer, and processing state.

  4. Step 4

    Name the device and choose a workspace

    Every recording belongs to exactly one workspace. Choosing here decides where this device's audio lands.

  5. Step 5

    Set your recording consent default

    Choose whether the device announces recording, and confirm you understand local consent law.
